Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Management Office (PMO) Support Specialist to join our team at Shared Services Connected Ltd. As a PMO Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our programmes and projects, working on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week in our Leeds office and the rest from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Programme Management Office support to members of assigned programmes/projects, including arranging meetings, producing reports, chairing calls, capacity planning, and pipeline planning.
  • Administer, measure, support, and ensure quality and project control standards are maintained.
  • Own and deliver low-complexity projects or work packages, ensuring they conform to customer and NHS SBS project management governance standards, and time, cost, and quality specifications.
  • Support Variation/Change Management requests.
  • Manage risks, issues, actions, and decisions, raising awareness of risks to ensure cost-effective and prompt resolution of issues.
  • Responsible for delivering capacity and demand planning activity, including managing relationships with resource owners and project managers, delivery of demand and capacity reporting, and escalation process.
  • Support the formal closure of projects and the completion of project post-implementation support and lessons learned reviews, ensuring lessons learned are captured and passed to the relevant forum for action and enhance own and teams' development, skills enhancement, and overall contribution.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the latest PMO analysis tools and techniques.
  • A proven understanding of PMO Services.
  • A proven understanding of project management lifecycle.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to provide accurate reporting on project status.
  • Ability to be flexible, coordinate, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Ability to tailor approach to individual partners.
  • Ability to absorb and learn information quickly and proactively resolve problems.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in Microsoft Project.
  • PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner certificate.
  • P3O Foundation or Practitioner certificate.
  • Agile Delivery Experience.
