Job Description:

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation, is seeking an Electrical Inspector for a 6-month contract. The role will involve:

  • Carrying out inspections to determine work requirements, priorities, and costs, and reporting to the Senior Inspector.
  • Conducting written annual inspections of electrical services for properties, providing recommendations, and discussing with other relevant team members to inform asset management strategy.
  • Responding to emergency requests for electrical repair work, arranging for remedial action to be taken, and issuing detailed repair instructions to contractors.
  • Supervising repair work and minor projects, ensuring timely completion and value for money, quality, and best practice.
  • Liaising with premise managers to discuss repair work, minor planned budgets, and other relevant issues affecting mechanical services.
  • Providing electrical monitoring and inspection on capital projects, in accordance with capital project procedures.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety compliance by implementing, promoting, and monitoring safe working practices, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and corporate policies.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the electrical services industry within the commercial services sector, preferably with practical site experience.
  • Contract management experience.
  • A current driving licence.
  • Additional relevant training and experience.
  • Proficient use of IT software such as CAFM systems, maintenance works ordering, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
