Job Description

Job Title: Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Location: Swindon

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Salary: £80 - £95 per day

About the Role:

We are seeking a Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will work with young learners who exhibit nonconforming behaviour that requires specialist adult intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement specific strategies to promote positive habits and improve overall well-being and social interactions with peers
  • Provide emotional support to individuals with challenging behaviour
  • Collaborate with trained professionals, including SENCOs, Educational Psychologists, and Occupational Therapists
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the factors that contribute to challenging behaviour in individuals

Requirements:

  • Excellent behavioural management skills
  • Commitment to improving the life of a challenging young person
  • Ability to adapt approach and strategies to meet the specific needs of individuals
  • Relevant experience working with difficult behaviour, mental health issues, or SEN children
