Main Responsibilities- Provide expert nursing knowledge in the management of patient care within the ventilation service.
- Manage a caseload of patients through their diagnosis and management.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate own and others' care.
- Prescribe advanced evidence-based nursing therapeutics, pharmacological, and non-pharmacological interventions.
- Guide and support others in the ventilatory specialty in their assessment, clinical decision-making, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of care.
- Provide leadership, role model, and guide others in nursing practice.
- Support the Ventilatory Service through specialist clinical practice, performing screening procedures and diagnostic tests to aid diagnosis and patient management.

Requirements- Registered with the NMC.
- Post-registration experience within respiratory or relevant post.
- Working towards a relevant post-graduate degree.
- Diploma-level training or demonstrable CPD in respiratory management.
- Obtained or working towards a relevant Post Graduate Degree in Respiratory care.
- Demonstrates ability to support the development of nursing standards and quality initiatives.
- Demonstrates teaching, mentoring, and assessing skills.
- Demonstrate involvement in research that has changed nursing practice.
