Client Services Team Assistant

Your Role
As a vital member of our national Client Services team, you will play an essential role in our Birmingham office, serving as a primary point of contact for clients and external parties involved in legal proceedings. Collaborating closely with our fee-earners, you will assist with various administrative, secretarial, and non-billable tasks while striving to deliver outstanding client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a liaison between clients and third parties on behalf of partners and fee-earners within the Private Client teams.
- Performing certain legal tasks, including the preparation of legal forms and documents.
- Assisting in the drafting of legal documents such as wills, powers of attorney, and deeds.
- Managing the diaries of fee-earners, coordinating travel arrangements, and preparing agendas while taking minutes during meetings.
- Streamlining the billing process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Opening and closing files, along with managing all aspects of matter maintenance.
About You
- Experience as a legal assistant or secretary supporting seasoned fee-earners is preferred, though we welcome candidates with administrative or secretarial experience in a professional setting.
- A solid understanding of relevant case management systems is advantageous.
- Exceptional client care skills coupled with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
