About the Role
SSE is a leading energy company committed to a low-carbon future. We're seeking a skilled Café Assistant to join our team at the Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre. As a key member of our hospitality team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a world-class visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality food and beverages to meet our centre's standards and policies.
- Perform general kitchen and café duties, including serving, washing up, setting up, and clearing down.
- Help maintain the centre's cleanliness, ensuring all designated areas, including the kitchen, café, retail, toilets, and grounds, are kept to a high standard.
- Deliver exceptional customer care, interacting with visitors, and being cheerful, approachable, and visible while on duty.
- Work closely with the team to consistently achieve high mystery visit scores and identify ways to improve service delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a fast-paced environment, such as a café or restaurant.
- Barista training is preferred but not essential.
- Experience with cash handling and the ability to operate a PC-based till would be an advantage, although training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Adaptable and organized in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Ability to stay up to date with Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Food regulations.
