About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Plymouth. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to teachers in the classroom, covering lessons and assisting with student learning.
  • Work with students in small groups or one-to-one to enhance their learning and address specific needs.
  • Assist with the organisation and implementation of student support programs and work assignments.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and safety of students in the school.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on update service (willing to obtain one).
  • Two professional references.
  • Qualifications or experience equivalent to a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, meeting NVQ Level 3 standards.
  • Training in relevant learning strategies, such as literacy.
  • A proven track record of teamwork and independent initiative.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Aptitude for using necessary tools and technology.
