About the Role

As a Team Leader at The Midcounties Co-operative, you'll have the opportunity to build and develop high-performing teams that contribute to the success of our stores. You'll be part of a company dedicated to putting people first and making a positive impact in our communities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the customer experience, regularly interacting with and engaging customers to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Promote initiatives that drive membership growth and loyalty within the store.
  • Support the Store Manager in leading and coaching the team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Provide supportive and engaging leadership by observing performance, setting goals, offering feedback, managing attendance, and stepping up when the Store Manager is unavailable.
  • Serve as a positive role model for the team, embodying our values and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Actively participate in social initiatives and volunteer opportunities to support your local community.

Shift Pattern:

Your shift pattern may include evenings and weekends. We value your time outside of work and will provide you with a rota four weeks in advance, allowing you to plan your days off effectively.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Previous management experience is essential.
  • A customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional store experiences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Confidence and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
