Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Marie Curie UK. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and support to patients in their own homes, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management.
  • Monitor patients' symptoms and report any changes to the care team.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.

Requirements:

  • Relevant community experience and a strong understanding of end-of-life care.
  • Emotional strength and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • S/NVQ Level 2/3 qualification or equivalent certificate/diploma is desirable.
