About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Residential Childrens Support Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing responsive care and support to children and young people with complex emotional and social needs.

You will work in a small childrens home, caring for up to 3 children and young people at a time. Your primary focus will be on promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being, while also supporting them to develop skills and make positive choices.

About You
  • You have a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health, trauma, substance misuse, and offending behaviour.
  • You are able to reflect on your emotional responses and demonstrate empathy and creativity in problem-solving.
  • You are committed to promoting the rights, responsibilities, and informed choices of the children and young people in your care.
  • You are adaptable and able to respond to changing needs with flexibility and resilience.
  • You have experience with data management and Microsoft Office.
  • You are committed to working with vulnerable children, young people, and families, and possess strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
