Flood Risk Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Flood Risk Consultant to join our Water Environment team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading flood risk assessments and developing relationships with clients and regulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement flood risk assessments in accordance with NPPF and TAN 15
  • Lead hydrological and hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeler Pro and TUFLOW
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to deliver projects
  • Contribute to business development and research new clients
  • Attend client and regulatory meetings
Requirements:
  • Strong Bachelor's degree in a water subject and/or higher degree
  • Substantial experience in flood risk assessments and hydrological modelling
  • Good understanding of the Environment Agency and Lead Local Flood Authorities
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current planning policies and procedures
