Product Buyer (Womenswear) Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Product Buyer to join our team at Edinburgh Woollen Mill, based at our Head Office in Carlisle, Cumbria. As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing product ranges that meet our brand and store values.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement product ranges that align with our brand and store values, ensuring a consistent image and value proposition.
  • Work closely with our Merchandiser to plan and implement product strategies that meet sales and margin objectives.
  • Collaborate with our Sourcing Manager to develop and implement sourcing strategies that ensure security of supply and risk assessment.
  • Drive the front-end product development strategy, ensuring progress of sampling, fabric, and pricing in line with agreed dates.
  • Ensure range plans, product briefs, design briefs, and fabric briefs are completed in full to agreed dates.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of product plans.
  • Work closely with our Design, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing teams to ensure effective planning and implementation of window strategies, visuals, and photography.
  • Continuously review product performance and trends to maximize sales and margin on season and forward.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our stores, competition, and market opportunities and threats.
  • Manage costs in line with agreed budgets and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Buyer in clothing.
  • Womenswear clothing experience.
  • Experience with a similar retailer and customers.
