Job Summary

Brimstone Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Internal Audit Director to join their team. As a key member of the advisory team, you will play a crucial role in delivering value-adding advice to clients across various industries.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of business, industry sectors, and markets, as well as a strong knowledge of internal audit standards, risk management, and systems and controls testing. You will work closely with clients to identify and mitigate risks, and provide expert advice on compliance and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead internal audit projects and teams to deliver high-quality results
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats
  • Conduct systems and controls testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide expert advice on compliance and regulatory matters to clients
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and prioritize business risks
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, MIIA, or equivalent)
  • Experience in a practice or advisory environment
  • Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, risk management, and systems and controls testing
  • Experience in non-profit, retail sectors, or social housing
  • Manager experience within a practice
  • Experience with listed companies
