We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate Band 6 Paediatric Emergency Nurse Leaders to become part of our supportive team in the Emergency Department, recognized for its excellence.
Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a prominent district general hospital located in a picturesque area, conveniently close to major transport routes, while being surrounded by beautiful parks, historic landmarks, and waterways.
We serve over 350,000 individuals in our community and are known nationally for our innovative approaches to healthcare, particularly in patient-centered care, outpatient procedures, and maternal health services.
Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Paediatric Emergency Nurse Leader, you will operate within our specialized Paediatric Emergency Department, the newly established Children's Resuscitation Area, and the Urgent Treatment Centre, providing safe and effective care to approximately 29,000 children annually.
You will receive guidance and support from our Practice Development Nurse, Senior Sister, and Matron, equipping you with the necessary tools to thrive in both clinical and managerial aspects of your career. Opportunities for team leadership experience, comprehensive orientation, educational sessions, and in-house training will be provided. Additionally, you will participate in regular paediatric simulations led by experienced Consultants, with an ED Resus Team available to assist during critical scenarios.
