Role Overview

  • Lead and oversee the competitive tendering process.
  • Regularly assess and track bid progress, addressing or escalating issues as necessary.
  • Manage the entire opportunity lifecycle from inception to contract award, assisting teams in developing bid strategies, identifying partners, and articulating value propositions.
  • Coordinate design contributions to ensure all documentation and presentation materials are visually appealing and of high quality.
  • Ensure the excellence of all bid components, including written documents and presentations.
  • Conduct thorough research on customers, projects, scopes, stakeholders, and competitors to gain insights into opportunities.
  • Guarantee that all bid documentation is clear, concise, and persuasive.
  • Comprehend customer requirements, timelines, costs, risks, features, competition, and other factors influencing bid content and strategy.
  • Implement risk management practices, including risk identification and mitigation planning throughout the bidding process, while collaborating with finance and legal teams on Supplier Onboarding & Due Diligence, Terms & Conditions, and Intellectual Property Rights.
  • Utilize the company governance process to maintain the strategic direction of all bids, ensuring necessary approvals are secured.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company and industry dynamics to effectively respond to commercial tenders and private engagements.
  • Manage a diverse range of multi-disciplinary bids and commercial proposals, from large-scale programs to smaller, intricate projects.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of experience managing the complete bid lifecycle. A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred, along with APMP or Shipley training, though this is not mandatory. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential, as well as exceptional writing abilities to produce high-quality, compelling responses. We are looking for a decisive leader capable of driving improvement initiatives across the organization.

Benefits
