Job Title: Band 5 Locum Registered General Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered General Nurse to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services in our 21-bedded elderly Rehabilitation unit, Avocet Ward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Identify subtle changes in patient condition and take clinical actions, reporting concerns to senior nursing and medical staff.
  • Ensure care is delivered in a safe and effective manner, adhering to evidence-based practice.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based protocols, policies, and integrated care pathways.
  • Participate in the promotion of healthy lifestyles, early detection, and prevention of disease.
Requirements:
  • Degree-level or equivalent professional nursing qualification.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • NMC Registration.
  • Literate in IT/Computer Skills.
  • Good oral communication skills based on fluency in the English Language.
Desirable:
  • Experience of working across both acute and community settings.
  • Previous experience within a rehabilitation setting/Intermediate care setting.
