Reliability Maintenance Engineer

Amazon is seeking a skilled Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician to join our team. As a key member of our RME team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on site equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Carrying out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse environment.
- Utilizing the latest tools and technologies to maximize equipment effectiveness and efficiency.
- Upholding all health and safety policies and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Supporting the development and progression of on-site apprentices and contributing to the growth of our team.
- Collaborating with senior colleagues to identify and implement continuous improvement projects and best practices across multiple EU sites.
A day in the life of our RME Technicians involves working on-site to respond quickly to machinery issues, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, and suggesting long-term improvements. You will work closely with senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks, liaise with contractors when necessary, and work on a range of shifts to ensure our sites are supported around the clock.
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is dedicated to maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. We work together to install automated packaging systems, oversee general maintenance, and repair key distribution equipment. Our team often works during early or late hours to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption, including night shifts.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline or another practical engineering qualification.
- Relevant experience as a qualified engineer.
- Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.
Preferred qualifications include experience in condition-based monitoring, working with print and apply machines, and fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems.
