We are collaborating with a distinguished and award-winning agricultural enterprise that specializes in soft fruit cultivation to recruit a Sprayer Operator.

In this role, you will be tasked with managing daily spraying operations, ensuring that all activities are executed efficiently and meet high-quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as overseeing the checks and maintenance of spraying machinery and equipment.



Key Responsibilities:

- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including conducting risk assessments, maintaining accurate records, and managing chemical storage and equipment safely.

- Pesticide Management: Supervise the proper handling, transportation, and application of pesticides, calibrate equipment, and ensure compliance with legal requirements and COSHH assessments.

- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct pre-use inspections and routine maintenance on spraying machinery, including preparation for annual testing and thorough cleaning.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date records for spraying operations and audits, report any equipment issues or personal protective equipment (PPE) needs to the line manager, and ensure the safe disposal of pesticide containers.

- Professional Development: Keep NRoSO registration current, accumulate CPD points, stay informed about best practices in pest control and spray coverage, and enhance your knowledge through ongoing training.

Candidate Profile:

  • Spraying qualifications (e.g., PA1-PA6) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with robotic spraying systems is advantageous, although comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Possession of a valid UK/EU driving license.

Compensation Package:

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
