Lift Service Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lift Service Engineer to join our team at Otis & Liftec Express Dartford. As a Lift Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing lifts of all types, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out 100% of lift maintenance and service visits for assigned units
  • Respond promptly to lift breakdowns, aiming for first-time fixes
  • Resolve long-standing lift faults, achieve zero defect insurance items, and maintain contractual KPIs
  • Perform minor lift repairs to ensure continuous operation
  • Liaise directly with customers on site, building strong working relationships
Requirements:
  • Qualified to at least NVQ Level 3, J-Module, or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge of various lift makes and types, including dock-levellers, goods and platform lifts, scissor lifts, and hydraulics
  • Ability to apply lift engineering principles to maintenance and fault diagnosis
