Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Resident Liaison Officer to join our team at Howells Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing positive relationships with residents in social housing settings, providing information and support during refurbishment, maintenance, and major works programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with residents to prevent and limit dissatisfaction, resolve complaints and queries efficiently
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, neighbourhood housing associations, and other stakeholders
  • Conduct pre-entry visits and company inductions to ensure a smooth transition for residents
  • Collect and process tenancy agreement and approval forms
  • Visit residents in their homes to advise them on planned works and provide support
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents, addressing any problems or queries they may have
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with neighbourhood housing associations
  • Visit properties being refurbished to advise potential tenants on completion dates
  • Attend and chair tenant forum meetings to keep residents informed of works being carried out

Requirements:

  • Full clean driving licence with own vehicle
  • Previous experience working in social housing or a similar environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
