Maintenance Support Engineer Team Leader Role

As a Maintenance Support Engineer Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of assigned tasks. This role combines the responsibilities of Technical Records, Fault Evaluator, Maintenance Support Engineer, and Maintenance Approval Engineer within IMS, while also supporting the compilation of the technical section of DASOR's and MAR finding resolution.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. IMS data management: Supporting data correction, documentation checks, and IMS test script development and execution.
  2. IMS Support and Training: Providing on-site IMS support, mentoring, and issue resolution.
  3. IMS Improvement: Maintaining IMS expertise, addressing issues directly, and contributing to IMS report development.
  4. Ensuring personnel are authorised, trained, and comply with safety regulations for maintenance activities.
  5. Collaborating with Maintenance Operations Centre, Production planning Cell Core Team, and RAF Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) teams.

This is a full-time role, 36 hours per week, based on site at RAF Valley on Anglesey.

Essential Experience for the Maintenance Support Engineer Team Leader
  1. Experience as the primary point of contact (POC) for all MSE actions and issues arising from meetings, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) meetings.
  2. Proven ability to manage and coordinate a team within a similar sector, including pastoral care for employee well-being. Previous experience in leading and developing staff, collaborating with team leaders, and engaging with other members of the management team.
Qualifications for the Maintenance Support Engineer Team Leader
  1. Training in an Aircraft related discipline to City and Guilds 2675 Level 3 or equivalent i.e., Aero NVQ Level 3.
  2. Knowledge of MAA Regulatory frameworks.
  3. The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain standard BPSS Clearance.
