Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our Greenkeeping and Estates team at Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of our championship golf course and surrounding parkland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the appearance of the golf course and parkland, ensuring a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for our guests.
  • Perform a range of tasks, including lawn mowing, edging, raking leaves, and other lawn maintenance functions.
  • Operate tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in the maintenance of flower beds, baskets, and boxes, including watering, removing weeds, trimming, and other tasks.
  • Remove and bag trash from exterior trash cans and maintain the appearance of fountains, planters, or other grounds features.
  • Collaborate with the Head Greenkeeper and team to ensure the highest standards of course maintenance and construction.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving license.
  • Self-motivated and a team player with a positive attitude.
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in a similar position, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
  • NVQ level 2 in sports turf or a related qualification.
  • PA1, PA2, and PA6 Spraying qualifications desirable.
  • A flexible approach to work, including weekends.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work as part of a team or alone.
