About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Tax Consultant to join our team in Oxford. As a Personal Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying tax planning opportunities and delivering consultancy services to clients across all areas of personal tax.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients and ensure compliance with HM Revenue & Customs and in-house deadlines.
- Assist with client queries and provide ad hoc advice where requested.
- Bill personal portfolio clients after work completion.
- Deal with correspondence, telephone calls, and arrange and attend meetings with clients and potential clients.
- Assist partners and staff members with technical queries.
- Provide assistance to junior members of the team where appropriate.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports in relation to income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
- Deal with HMRC correspondence, telephone calls, and enquiries.
- General support to the tax team as required.

- Experience within a private client tax team.
- ATT qualified, ideally working towards CTA.
- A self-starter with a high level of resilience and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong aptitude for IT - able to pick up new technology quickly.
- Can-do attitude, positive and commercial approach.
- Confident, tactful, and discreet manner.
- Strong team spirit but also effective working independently.
