Senior Kotlin Backend Developer Opportunity

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Kotlin Backend Developer to join a large financial institution for a long-term contract located in Burgess Hill. The successful candidate will be working on a large-scale net new mobile application development being rolled out in the organisation.

The chosen candidate will work in a globally located scrum team to develop and design a solution for the organisation's mobile application service layer (backend for frontend) with millions of users worldwide. The candidate will work with their teams to understand the stories and requirements to develop web services to consume information and create a curated response needed for iOS and Android development.

This role will be completely backend web services development work, requiring experience working with stakeholders across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have professional development experience in an Agile, enterprise environment, with experience working with back-end development, specifically Java, and experience with Kotlin programming language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop server-side applications using Kotlin.
  • Work with Microservices and REST APIs.
  • Develop web services using Kotlin.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Ktor Library.
  • Experience with Grad.
  • Experience with Git.
