About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our team at our Workington Mill. As a key member of our Engineering Management Team, you will be responsible for leading and developing the craft resource, senior craft, and apprentices, with a focus on good standards and discipline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety in the Area of Responsibility
  • Preventative Maintenance and Work Order Flow
  • Asset Management and Uptime of Equipment
  • Customer Service Focus to Production Colleagues
  • Collaboration with Other Members of the Engineering Management Team
  • Promotion and Facilitation of Lean, Problem-Solving, and RCA Activities
  • Developing Strong Communication Links and Support to Site Shift Managers
  • Leading and Developing the Craft Resource
  • Managing the Supply of Craft Resource Mill-Wide
  • Operating as a Key Member of Area Planned Maintenance Shut Process and Execution
  • Ensuring Compliance with Applicable Laws, Agreements, and Rules
  • Setting and Achieving Area Budget
  • Monitoring and Achieving KPIs
Requirements
  • Education to HND (or Equivalent) in Engineering, and/or Vast Experience in a Management Position
  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
  • Excellent Knowledge and Competence in Maintenance Engineering
  • Understanding of Failure Analysis and Maintenance Strategy
  • Good Knowledge of Plant Processes and Equipment
  • Computer Literacy Skills with Working Knowledge of 'Windows Office' Suite
