We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Micronclean, a family-owned business with a rich history spanning back to the 1920s. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of our new cleanroom laundry facility, a state-of-the-art operation that will set a new standard in the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engineering solutions at the forefront of innovation in the laundry industry.
- Manage virtual teams, coordinate, and motivate groups to deliver project outcomes.
- Take a structured and flexible approach to project management tools and behaviors.
- Identify and manage the project critical path, including managing risks and opportunities.
- Employ a completer/finisher mindset, being comfortable in the detail of addressing snags to realize the initial vision, taking project outcomes from good to excellent.
- Contribute to key project management practices, including time/resource planning, cost planning, creation and management of specifications and other key records, project review, reporting, and communication.
- Select contractors and suppliers and manage them as partners.
- Understand and engage project stakeholders through verbal and written communication.
- Collaborate with key business functions, including Health and Safety and Quality, to deliver projects that are safe and meet customer expectations.
- Degree-level qualification, or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Ability to apply engineering knowledge to technological innovation.
- Experience of multi-million pound construction projects.
- Experience of cleanrooms or the life sciences industries is desirable.
- Project management qualifications or experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD to read, amend, and create architectural drawings and piping/instrumentation diagrams.
- Proficiency in project management software tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
