We are a dynamic, engaged, and supportive division comprising approximately sixty professionals.
Our division is organized into four specialized teams:
Community Engagement, Equalities, Financial Hardship, and Migration.
Our mission is to ensure that all residents of London can prosper, regardless of their background or immigration status.
- Assisting Londoners in accessing essential support to prevent or overcome financial difficulties.
- Enhancing civic engagement, particularly among marginalized groups, to empower Londoners with the voice, authority, and influence necessary for their success.
- Implementing the Mayor's statutory equalities responsibilities and addressing systemic inequalities.
- We are seeking to fill multiple positions, where you will either join the Migration Team or work collaboratively across the Migration and Financial Hardship teams. In this role, you will be a vital team member, serving as the primary contact for Mayoral correspondence, organizing events, drafting policy documents, supporting project management, and ensuring thorough reporting to facilitate the effective delivery of positive outcomes for Londoners.
The Migration team's responsibilities include overseeing the premier Board on Migration in London - the London Strategic Migration Partnership - and executing a business strategy that guarantees the successful resettlement of refugees in London while providing strategic oversight and guidance for accommodation and support contracts for individuals seeking asylum.
The team also implements a welcome and integration program for newcomers from Hong Kong, which includes support for London's local authorities, grant funding for Hong Kong community organizations, and mental health assistance.

The team also oversees and promotes the Mayor's Cost of Living Hub, assisting Londoners citywide in understanding the available support options.
Provide comprehensive administrative and project support to the initiatives of the Migration and Financial Hardship teams.
Coordinate activities and events, including assisting the team with administration, execution, and reporting.
Manage the planning and organization of events, meetings, seminars, conferences, and workshops for the team, including coordinating and drafting relevant briefings for senior management.
Support the team in its project work, including coordinating decision documents, updating web pages, managing the grant awarding process, and maintaining data spreadsheets for project-related activities.
Develop and uphold systems and procedures for maintaining accurate records, including championing office technology, assisting new team members, filing, and disseminating information on behalf of the team.
Realize the benefits of London's diversity by promoting and enabling equal opportunities and addressing the diverse needs and aspirations of London's communities.
Manage staff and resources allocated to the position in accordance with the Authority's policies and ethical standards.
Demonstrated experience in effectively managing and delivering an administrative support function and performing a variety of tasks related to this function, including proactively managing and delivering personal administrative support to a manager while maintaining confidentiality.
Ability to represent the manager and team to others in a professional and high-quality manner.
