Position Overview

Lancashire Early Intervention Service

Care Coordinator Band 6

Required Qualifications:

First Level Professional Qualification (RMN/SW/OT)

We are seeking a passionate, driven, and dedicated professional to become a part of our well-established and supportive multi-disciplinary team.

The Lancashire Early Intervention Service (EIS) is dedicated to assisting individuals aged 14 to 65 who are at risk of, or currently facing, first episode psychosis. Our team offers a variety of specialized interventions, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Family Interventions, utilizing a hub and spoke model. There are three multi-disciplinary early intervention service teams operating within the Lancashire region.

The Lancashire Early Intervention Service operates within the Children and Families Network of Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. We maintain strong collaborative relationships with a variety of community and inpatient services for both children and adults.

We emphasize the importance of professional and clinical supervision to support and develop our team members, ensuring our commitment to delivering the highest quality clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse, social worker, or occupational therapist to join our team in a permanent position. The role offers a chance for professional growth for those interested in the Early Intervention Service and provides valuable experience in a community environment.

The Care Coordinator will be an integral part of the EIS Central Lancashire Team, contributing to the development of a new service while engaging in ongoing skills enhancement.

For additional information regarding this position, please refer to the attached job description and person specification.

About Our Organization

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust delivers a wide range of services, including secondary mental health care across the region. Our specialized services encompass inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health, and forensic services, including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides various physical health and well-being services in the community, collaborating with numerous partners across Lancashire, Cumbria, and Sefton.

We advocate for flexible working arrangements, believing that a positive work/life balance enhances the health and well-being of NHS employees. We are open to discussing various working patterns, including term time, part-time, compressed hours, flexi-time, and career breaks. We encourage applicants to clearly express their preferences in their application forms and discuss these options during the interview process.
