Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at AJ Chambers. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients and providing expert accounting advice to ensure their financial well-being.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, as well as managing accounts and providing tax advice.
  • Liaising with clients to understand their financial needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their goals.
  • Leading and mentoring junior staff to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest accounting standards and regulations to ensure our clients receive the best possible service.
  • Collaborating with our team to achieve our goals and objectives.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with our clients.
  • Identifying opportunities for business growth and development.
  • Developing and implementing new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations
