Job Summary:

GR Associates is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a project to reach a timely and budget pre-set goal.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the installation of HVAC & Mechanical Projects throughout the UK
  • Conduct surveys, assist with bid proposals, and negotiate contracts
  • Attend and report on pre-start meetings and subsequent meetings throughout the contract
  • Plan and manage resources, including subcontractors and direct labor
  • Purchase materials and equipment
  • Keep clients and the company updated on all matters
  • Create risk assessments and method statements
  • Develop operation and maintenance manuals
  • Ensure work is completed within target dates and budgets
  • Manage contract variations and negotiate with clients
  • Manage a portfolio of projects ranging from £20k to £2 million
  • Prepare to react quickly and effectively in various situations on and off site

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within the air conditioning industry and relevant legislation knowledge is essential
  • Must be computer literate, self-motivated, personable, and able to work independently as part of a team
  • Ability to manage projects from conception to completion, including all labor and material requirements
  • ONC/HNC qualification in Building Services (HVAC) preferred
  • Candidate will possess a proven track record of building strong professional relationships and project management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in IT and CAD software
