About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Piping Engineer to join our team at Integrated Project Services (IPS). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and directing engineering projects within the business unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a library of mechanical standards for pipework systems, including ASME BPE, ANSI, ISO, and DIN.
  • Conduct stress analysis using software such as CAESAR II or ROHR and advise pipework designers on design and components.
  • Prepare design computations and quality estimates, and develop probable cost estimates for smaller projects.
  • Modify scopes of work for mechanical designs based on preliminary review and client meetings.
  • Review the work of project design teams, check progress, and alert project managers of scope changes or additional services.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of proven mechanical design experience in dirty and clean utility piping within pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or laboratory industries.
  • Industry experience is required, but comparable experience in oil and gas, chemical, or similar will also be considered.
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Utility piping design and/or pipework fabrication experience.
