Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled Facilities Manager to become a vital part of our team. This role is crucial in supporting our operations through maintenance and optimization of services, tailored specifically for spare parts, repairs, and overhaul activities related to passenger and freight trains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the maintenance and utility operations of the site.
  • Effectively control labor costs, materials, and resources to ensure project completion and necessary preventative maintenance.
  • Engage actively in leading and advocating for continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise both team members and contracted personnel.
  • Conduct daily briefings to guide staff in achieving production objectives.
  • Promote Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental enhancements to adhere to applicable regulations.
  • Provide on-call support and coordinate with staff or contractors for site attendance as needed.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience in building systems, maintenance, and facilities management within a manufacturing or production context.
  • Experience in project tendering and execution.
  • Strong capabilities in project management.
  • Proficient in budget oversight.
  • Familiarity with health and safety legislation.
  • IOSH certification is desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
