Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our all-age SEN school in Watford.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time, long-term position where your expertise will directly contribute to the progress and well-being of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual or small group assistance to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, SLD, and challenging behaviour.
  • Help create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment where pupils can grow both academically and socially.
  • Partner with teachers and support staff to ensure each student has the tools and guidance they need to succeed.
  • Play an active role in leading and delivering lessons when needed, ensuring consistency and quality in education.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or similar role in an SEN setting.
  • A proactive, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils with varying needs.
  • Confidence in working with a diverse age range of students, from primary through secondary stages.
