Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to make a real impact on students' learning and development.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning support across a range of subjects and year groups. They will assist teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons, lead small group activities and interventions, and support students with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • HLTA qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Experience working within a school environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their academic progress
About Us:

We are a unique organisation offering amazing opportunities to the children in East Herts and Broxbourne who are experiencing difficulties in mainstream school because of their social, emotional and mental health barriers. Our curriculum is designed to recognise and address gaps in pupils' knowledge and capitalise on their interests whilst also addressing why mainstream education is proving difficult.

We work with pupils from the age of 5-16, supported by a highly skilled Primary and Secondary team of outreach staff working in and with 102 primary and 22 secondary schools throughout the area with children who are at risk of permanent exclusion, with the aim of supporting them and the school to overcome the issues that are making school life difficult.
