**About Quantum Solutions**
Quantum Solutions is a leading company in the field of quantum dot technology for short- and mid-wave infrared image sensors. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Production Chemist to join our team as a Manufacturing Specialist.
Main Responsibilities:
- Quantum Dots Synthesis: Synthesize colloidal quantum dots for commercial orders, including setup of manufacturing stations, QDs synthesis using wet chemistry, QDs cleaning and purification, and packaging of the products.
- Quality Control: Carry out quality control of synthesized QDs, including measurements of absorption and photoluminescence profiles, photoluminescence quantum yield, TGA, DLS, FTIR, etc.
- Scaling Up: Assist with scaling up production by conducting laboratory experiments, pilot scale-up tests, and commercial trials to ensure the successful introduction of new processes.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of the work done and create and revise technical documentation.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Proven expertise in chemical synthesis, with a preference for experience with nanoparticles/quantum dots, organic/organometallic or inorganic synthesis.
- Industrial experience is advantageous.
- Eager to join a deep tech start-up.
- PhD in either chemistry or material science.
- Strong knowledge of materials characterization techniques, including UV-vis-NIR spectroscopy, PL measurement, TGA, FTIR, TEM, and SEM.
- Demonstrated proficiency in chemical synthetic skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
