Position Overview
The Senior Hospitality Coordinator collaborates closely with the Head Chef and Chef to deliver an exceptional food and beverage experience in a friendly and hygienic setting for our residents and guests within the village café. This role includes some food preparation and cooking duties.

Key Responsibilities

All Hospitality Coordinators

  • Fosters a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests in our village dining areas, emphasizing customer service and offering a diverse selection of food and beverages while building rapport with residents.
  • Delivers a café/barista service in the village dining areas.
  • Handles customer transactions using the EPOS system.
  • Ensures daily cleanliness, hygiene, and post-service washing up.
  • Safely shuts down the kitchen at the end of the day, adhering to protocols in preparation for the following day and managing waste disposal.

Senior Hospitality Coordinators

  • Assists with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering processes.
  • Oversees and supervises the Hospitality Coordinators.
  • Supports the Chef with food preparation tasks, including making sandwiches, paninis, salads, etc., for the village café.
  • Ensures that food produced meets quality standards and complies with allergen and dietary requirements in collaboration with the Chef.
  • Accurately reconciles cash at the end of service.

Essential

Senior Level

  • Food hygiene qualification level 2.
  • Experience in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment.
  • Experience supervising a team.
  • Proficiency with IT systems, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Desirable

  • Food hygiene qualification level 2.
  • Diploma (or NVQ) level 1 in Catering/Food Service or equivalent.
  • Experience in a busy café or restaurant setting.
  • Experience working with older adults.

Senior Level

  • Diploma (or NVQ) level 2 in Catering/Food Service or equivalent.
  • Experience using an EPOS system.
