Job Title: Property Lawyer

We are seeking a skilled Property Lawyer to join our team at CDH Recruitment Ltd. As a Property Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of conveyancing transactions, drafting legal documents, and communicating with clients and third parties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion
  • Draft legal documents, including standard precedent letters, contract packs, and exchange letters
  • Communicate with clients and third parties, including taking instructions and providing updates
  • Work from reports to chase files and ensure compliance
  • Apply for searches, complete SDLT forms, and check incoming faxes
  • Provide support to conveyancers and property lawyers due to holiday or sickness
  • Deal with tasks assigned to you and refer complex tasks back to the conveyancer for risk assessment/resolution
Requirements:
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English with a minimum grade C
  • A level or equivalent in Maths and English with a minimum grade C
  • Relevant experience in property law or conveyancing
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Hours:

Core hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. The office is open between 8:00am and 7:00pm Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm on Saturday, and 10:00am to 3:30pm on Sunday. You will be required to work 5 days and no more than 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis.
