Job Title: Associate Property Lawyer
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and organized Associate Property Lawyer to join our team in St Leonards On Sea. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion, registration, and closure of the file.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of conveyancing transactions, including all aspects of the transaction from instruction to completion, registration, and closure of the file.
- Take instructions, keep accurate file notes, communicate with clients and third parties, and complete tasks.
- Carry out pre-completion, Land Registry, and conveyancing searches accurately and timely.
- Ensure the file is ready for exchange and completion, making sure all the correct and necessary paperwork and funds are in place.
- Carry out post-completion work, including preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry, Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, file closures, and checking account ledgers.
Requirements:
- Qualified candidates with a Law Degree, LPC, Solicitor, or Legal Executive with 1 year of conveyancing experience are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate good time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Case Management Systems and Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, is preferred but not essential.
