Role Overview:
As a Cyber Security Operations Specialist, you will be instrumental in devising strategies that maximize the effectiveness of enterprise deployments across various organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within our Cyber Defence and Big Data practice, gaining exposure to a diverse array of security technologies.
- Manage a portfolio of cyber engagements, ensuring the timely completion of security assessments and technical delivery aspects of transformation initiatives.
- Produce high-quality reports in collaboration with team members, meeting the stringent requirements of our clientele.
- Establish and nurture a network of contacts within client organizations.
- Assist the Service Delivery Team in the planning and execution phases of engagements.
Team Development:
- Contribute to the growth of the existing team by sharing expertise, leading by example, and mentoring team members.
Security Transformation:
- Design and oversee the implementation of security solutions and remediation programs to mitigate risks associated with various security domains, including antivirus, patch management, secure configurations, vulnerability assessments, logging, monitoring, and threat management.
Emerging Technologies:
- Focus on security measures surrounding new technology platforms, particularly in Cloud security and Big Data Analytics.
Incident Management:
- Develop and implement practices for breach and major incident management.
Qualifications:
- Experience in agile development environments, ensuring security is integrated into systems prior to product release.
- Proficiency in both Unix and Windows operating systems, along with a solid understanding of networking principles.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.
