Become a part of our Environment and Sustainability Team at NHSBSA as a Sustainability Consultant.
This position presents a remarkable opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to assist in the formulation and execution of the NHSBSA Environmental Strategy and action initiatives.
You will take charge of significant components, including the upkeep and enhancement of our comprehensive Environmental Management System, which is certified to ISO14001.
Collaboration with various teams across NHSBSA will be essential to promote environmental advancements, and you will have the chance to influence and manage the organization’s carbon management strategy.
Main Responsibilities
Assist the Environment and Sustainability Lead in the creation and implementation of the NHSBSA environmental framework in collaboration with the Estates Senior Management Team to design and supervise the organization’s carbon management strategy. Maintain and improve the NHSBSA's Environmental Management System (EMS). Ensure adherence to applicable legislation, regulations, codes of practice, government mandates, and procedures. Develop and enforce environmental and sustainability policies, procedures, guidance, and systems. Establish the NHSBSA environmental reporting framework to evaluate and monitor the performance of NHSBSA environmental objectives, and oversee the organization’s reporting processes. Provide relevant insights and critical analysis related to the NHSBSA’s Environmental Strategy and its key impacts.

Job Responsibilities
As a Sustainability Consultant, you will be accountable for managing an Environmental Management System, comprehending environmental legal obligations and central government mandates, developing and executing a carbon management strategy, and collaborating with estates teams on carbon management.
You should possess knowledge and experience in carbon accounting and measuring/monitoring environmental performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and reporting against central government mandates such as the Greening Government Commitments.
