Gi Group is seeking a skilled Trainer in Childcare to join our client in Rotherham. As a key partner to learners and placement providers, you will work closely with learners to ensure they achieve their best, while developing long-term relationships with employers to increase placement opportunities.
Main Duties:- To conduct learner assessments and observations in workplace settings using an electronic portfolio, and to teach and learn within qualifications.
- To mark learner work and provide developmental and constructive feedback.
- To set SMART individual targets.
- To track and record progress of learners and provide regular updates to the Team Leader.
- To take proactive measures to ensure learners achieve their qualifications within the allotted time, and to work as part of a wider team to contribute positively to recruitment, standardisation, and ongoing improvement in quality and performance.
- To contribute to the wider engagement with employers to maximise opportunities.
- To participate in the provision of First Aid assistance if required.
- Experience of working in an early-years setting as a Nursery Officer or similar role.
- Qualified in Early Years, L3 or above.
- Hold an Assessor award or be willing to work towards.
- Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and team working.
- Able to work in an organised and methodical manner.
- Good use of IT skills / Google Classroom.
