We are seeking a highly skilled Business Project Engineer to join our team at Tata Steel. As a Business Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in defining, organizing, and controlling mechanical engineering work associated with business improvement projects and capital development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed engineering requirements for specific items of business improvements and enhancements.
  • Prepare documentation applicable to the pre-tender stages of equipment procurement contracts.
  • Liaise with suppliers and procurement to ensure timely management of the tendering phase.
  • Collaborate as a key member to support and update a Capital Expenditure Road Map.
  • Prepare detailed project plans for defined aspects of larger schemes.
  • Work with teams across the business in a Continuous Improvement function to support developments.
  • Produce detailed designs and drawings to meet the specifications of the project brief.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and technical personnel to develop instructional and training manuals where required.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree level or equivalent.
  • Relevant plant experience in the steel or construction industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of working effectively at all levels within the organization.
