Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom University of Cambridge Full time

The Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development of a new MPhil in Global Risk and Resilience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in risk identification and assessment, as well as experience in policy development for risk mitigation.

CSER is a world-leading research centre that produces cutting-edge research on risks that could lead to human extinction or civilisational collapse. The centre is a hub for academics, technologists, and policymakers, and the successful candidate will be expected to work across theoretical and practical specialisms to generate impact outside academia.

The MPhil in Global Risk and Resilience will be a key part of CSER's mission to build a larger and more impactful community of researchers and practitioners. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining expert networks inside and outside academia, and for designing and delivering a high-quality postgraduate curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, with a strong track record of internationally recognised research. They will also have experience of teaching at postgraduate level, and of designing and delivering postgraduate curricula.

The University of Cambridge is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of society. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the university's commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
