We are seeking two exceptional individuals to lead our new PhD and MPhil courses in Human-Inspired AI at the Centre for Human Inspired Artificial Intelligence (CHIA). The successful candidates will have a PhD in a relevant field and expertise in machine learning, human-computer interaction, computer vision, speech and/or natural language processing, robotics, mobile systems, or another area of human-facing AI.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for co-leading the delivery of our new PhD and MPhil in Human-Inspired Artificial Intelligence, conducting impactful and internationally leading research in your area of speciality, and contributing to the long-term development of CHIA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality teaching materials and courses
  • Conduct research and publish papers in top-tier conferences and journals
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to develop human-inspired AI solutions
  • Contribute to the development of CHIA's research agenda and strategy

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field
  • Expertise in machine learning, human-computer interaction, computer vision, speech and/or natural language processing, robotics, mobile systems, or another area of human-facing AI
  • Proven ability to work interdisciplinarily and design teaching materials
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
