About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our Packaged Grocery team at Sainsbury's. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for owning, delivering, and optimising the buying and selling strategy for your buying area, driving sustainable market share growth through a competitive and distinctive customer offer.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best products at the best prices for our customers.
- Develop and execute customer-focused category plans aligned with the company's strategy.
- Manage a broad number of supplier relationships, including branded and own-label suppliers.
- Lead cross-functional projects to deliver successful outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A proven track record in negotiating and influencing.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships quickly.
