We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our team at Randstad Construction & Property. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a commercial team to deliver multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities- Client and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, their representatives, and third parties, ensuring all commercial issues are effectively managed.
- Work Winning: Identify and negotiate contracts, bonds, warranties, and guarantees. Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximise opportunities and minimise risks during the tender phase.
- Project Delivery: Oversee cost and value management, ensuring robust financial reporting systems are in place. Enhance change management processes and lead the preparation of complex project cost plans.
- Monthly Reporting: Manage comprehensive project cost reporting systems, conduct CVR sessions, and prepare business unit packs for monthly reviews. Provide strategic support during group accounts review meetings.
- Risk Management: Facilitate risk management reviews, propose viable solutions, and lead negotiations to secure favourable commercial outcomes. Manage disputes with a strong understanding of legal techniques.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop the commercial team, ensuring continuous upskilling and alignment with business objectives. Actively contribute to the development and succession planning of the team.
- Expertise in Bonds, Warranties, Insurances, Financial Management, Dispute Resolution, and Behavioural Based Safety.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Professional membership to a relevant body (desirable).
- NEC Contract training/experience (desirable).
