We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Red Kite School, part of Acorn Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to develop and thrive in a nurturing environment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new independent special educational needs school, catering for up to 60 pupils. You will work closely with our experienced teams to provide individualized support, helping our pupils to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outdoors
  • Prepare learning materials and run classroom activities, with hands-on experience and supervision
  • Take responsibility for pupils' emotional and physical needs, promoting their development and well-being
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in English and MathsExperience working with SEN and in a school settingAdaptability and a willingness to work in a variety of rolesA responsive and caring approach, with a focus on supporting pupils' individual needsWhat We Offer
