About the Role

Croda is a leading manufacturer of biological ingredients, and we are seeking a progressive leader to take oversight of our Ditton site. As Site Director, you will lead a team to deliver against the site's long-term strategic objectives, driving innovation and growth in our Consumer Care business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a 3–5-year site strategy, encompassing Operations, SHEQ, and Organisational Development, to build a highly efficient and high-performing site culture.
  • Coach, develop, and motivate a cross-functional site management team, ensuring effective succession planning and industrial relations with the workforce.
  • Work closely with Croda businesses, sales, and marketing to develop new processes and products, and with central departments to set development and improvement priorities.
  • Stimulate creativity within the site management team to drive cost savings, process improvement, and new product development, creating a continuous improvement culture on site.
  • Ensure proper communication, instruction, and training for site employees, and adequate consultation with employees and their representatives on material issues.
  • Comply with the Croda CSR policy and manage external relationships, including regulatory and local community bodies.
  • Act as a change champion for the site, influencing peers, board, and executive members to promote inward investment in new products, processes, and assets.
  • Anticipate high-level problems and challenges to the site, keeping aware of business and external trends, and be proactive in dealing with them before they arise or get too big.
