The Collective Network is seeking a skilled and dedicated Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Instructor to join our team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the training and safety standards within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, specifically in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
As an MHE Instructor, your primary responsibility will be to deliver thorough training and certification programs for employees on the safe and effective use of various material handling equipment. You will ensure that all training initiatives align with industry standards and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitating training sessions focused on the safe operation of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Creating and revising training materials and manuals to ensure they remain up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.
- Evaluating the proficiency of employees operating MHE and issuing certifications upon successful completion of training.
- Conducting refresher courses and ongoing training to promote continuous improvement and compliance with safety protocols.
- Assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of training programs, making necessary modifications to improve results.
- Keeping precise records of training sessions, certifications, and employee performance.
- Ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Offering guidance and support to employees regarding best practices for MHE operations.
Qualifications
- Certified MHE Instructor with relevant credentials.
- Instructor qualifications in PPT, Reach, and Counterbalance training.
- Train The Trainer Certificate is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in training and certifying operators on various types of material handling equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to MHE operations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Capability to develop and update training materials and manuals effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to assess and evaluate employee performance proficiently.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
