Job Overview

Semco Maritime is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Controller to lead the cost management function for our projects.

This role is responsible for the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of all asset or departmental specific costs, as well as assisting the Cost Control Manager in developing procedures to ensure accurate financial delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain asset or department specific work breakdown structures (WBS)
  • Collaborate with time-keepers, partner finance departments, asset management, engineering & construction, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely capture of labour and procurement costs
  • Work with asset management and other departments to develop, monitor, and report on budgets and forecasts
  • Ensure timely sales invoicing of all asset or departmental related activities, with accountability for unbilled costs
  • Provide variance analysis of all asset or departmental related activities
  • Assist with reviewing contracts and purchase orders from clients to understand all aspects and dynamics affecting asset or departmental activities, including commitment tracking
  • Act as the focal point for asset or department, both internally and externally
  • Participate in the full month-end cycle, including internal and external VOWD/accruals submissions
  • Support the development and familiarization with the PBS cost system MPower

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of large project work within the O&G industry
  • Relevant cost control experience
  • Ability to produce high-quality work
  • Strong ability to prioritize and structure work tasks
